Manager Talent & Diligence

WHY

We are in the business of augmenting human lives. To fulfill our mission, we must strengthen trust between stewards of capital and emerging manager talent. Today, new venture funds are emerging at an increasingly rapid pace— to the extent that it has become: 1) Difficult for LPs to easily differentiate one venture fund from another, and 2) Necessary to perform deep diligence on emerging manager talent at scale.

WHO

We work with LPs and institutions who possess an incredibly long-term approach to capital— thinking through increments of decades, even more. Furthermore, they stress the importance of patience, lifelong relationships, and intergenerational succession. Therefore, they are not so pressured to deploy capital expediently, but can patiently and diligently deploy capital in a way that matches their unique value system

WHAT

Beyond the obvious indicators: investment track record (proof points), institutional experience, educational background, and subject-matter expertise— what else is important to know about manager talent?

  • How do you determine if a manager’s approach to deploying capital is aligned with yours?

  • What indicators can you use to determine if a manager is committed for the long-term?

  • How do you know their governance practices are sound?

  • Do they naturally possess the beliefs and psychological traits to effectively deploy capital with consistency?

Our LP service is designed to help you find answers to the questions that matter to you most. We do this by providing a unique integration of three disciplines:

  1. Global experience in fundraising.

  2. The first-principles of sound operations.

  3. The psychology of human excellence.

Note: the service is not designed to replace or conflict with your diligence process. Our service is designed to augment those processes.

HOW

We pride ourselves in working with first principles to understand what you want to achieve and the problem you want to solve for; this allows for greater clarity of thought and confident decision-making. Your first step is to get in touch with us via a warm introduction from someone in your network. As part of that warm introduction, please state your angle of interest, let us know how you think we can help, and more importantly, how you believe our values align.
